SiliCreate TC40 Tin Cure Silicone Rubber

from $39.00

Tougher. Faster. Built for structure.

TC40 is the firmer sibling to our popular TC20—designed for applications where you need a bit more strength and rigidity in your mould. With a shore hardness of 40A, it's ideal for low-flex, high-detail moulds that need to hold their shape under pressure, such as concrete casting, resin parts, and industrial components.

Like all our tin cure silicones, TC40 is resistant to cure inhibition and cures quickly at room temperature. It’s a dependable, budget-friendly solution for makers and manufacturers alike.

Catalyst included.

Key Features

  • Mix Ratio: 100:3 by weight (Base: Catalyst)

  • Working Time: 30 minutes at 23°C

  • Cure Time: 3–5 hours at room temperature

  • Shore Hardness: 40A

  • Minimal Shrinkage: ~0.3%

  • High Tear Strength

  • Colour: White

  • Temperature Range: -30°C to +120°C

  • Catalyst included

Tin Cure vs Platinum Cure

Tin cure silicones like TC40 are cost-effective, quick to cure, and less affected by materials that often inhibit platinum silicones. However, platinum cure silicones are the preferred option for high-precision work, longer mould life, and food-safe applications. For structural moulds on a budget, TC40 hits the sweet spot.
